Launch Of New Cycle Race Team 'Team LFH'

Ellon-based LFH Engineering Ltd, specialists in the design and manufacturing of pumps, has teamed up with National Junior Madison Champion, Zak Loney, to form Aberdeenshire’s newest cycle race team.

'Team LFH' was launched last weekend when the 16-year-old Mintlaw Academy pupil took part in the Scottish Junior Road Race Championship at Leven, Fife, kitted out in the full Team LFH cycling gear.

Zak, formerly of Ythan Cycle Club, is currently working towards reaching the 2018 Commonwealth Games to represent Scotland. He is being assisted by professional coach, Ken Bryson who has worked with all levels of riders, from Commonwealth Games to World Masters competitors.

Zak commented: "It is fantastic to see a company investing in cycle sport for the first time, supporting riders who are attempting to progress further. My ultimate goal is to become a top cyclist with many medals under my belt and I look forward to working towards this as part of Team LFH, with the vital support of LFH Engineering and my coach behind me."
